Bunny formed his first reggae band The
Dakotas in London in 1976 whilst a young teenager.
He then went on to join the Mighty
Shates band as their lead vocalist.
In 1979 Bunny formed One Force
band so that he could perform his own composition.
One Force, a very strong cultural
reggae band, played extensively in and around London, Britain and
much of Europe gathering great acclaim.
One Force recorded two singles on After Lord and One Force
labels. One Force was dissolved in 1988.
The band was, perhaps, too radical for its time.
Bunny decided to take a break from performing
to concentrate on experimenting with writing and
composing different types of music in
his home recording studio.
His spirit is reggae but he encompassed
many other fields - soul, blues, rock, groove, country and ballad.
Being a versatile singer and dynamic
performer Bunny decided on a solo career and started performing
in pubs and wine bars around London.
A single on Wrrag label was recorded.
Bunny also took part in various radio
interviews and a television documentaryabout black British musicians.
Bunny Selassie is an exceptionally dynamic
singer ahn composer who is an advocate in teaching
goodness to all people of the world.
He believes in unifying people as one, travelling towards one
destination - peace, justice, unity and
love. Bunny returns to continue his message to the people
with his album, Eyes Can See,
which portrays the full return of his reggae spirit.
The album was published in 1995 for his
own label, Mantrax, which will continue its productions
in Jamaica, where Bunny is now living.
